Export Sales Manager (Dairy Ingredients)
Within our Corporate Nutrition Sales team located in Denver – Leprino is seeking an Export Sales Manager (Internally titled: Nutrition Sales Manager) to support and grow a small set of export-focused partnerships serving Japan and Korea. This role centers on working with established import and trading companies, balancing long-term account stewardship with selective growth across value-added/specialty nutrition ingredients and commodity markets.
At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $113,000 and $128,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 12%.
What You’ll Do:
- Support and grow a defined set of export-focused partnerships serving Japan and Korea through established trading and import companies.
- Build durable B2B relationships with traders and distributors operating across international nutrition ingredient markets.
- Balance ongoing account stewardship with selective new business development tied to value-added nutrition ingredients.
- Sell a portfolio weighted toward value-added and specialty proteins, including WPI, WPC, micellar casein, microparticulate whey proteins, and Leprino’s Clear PRO solutions.
- Support commodity-based products such as lactose and sweet whey where continuity, pricing accuracy, and supply coordination matter most.
- Work closely with R&D and technical teams to support customer formulation discussions, application needs, and product positioning.
- Coordinate pricing structures, contracts, forecasts, and inventory flow for export-oriented customers.
- Prepare for and participate in customer visits to Leprino plant locations, including cross-functional coordination and follow-up.
- Represent Leprino at industry conferences and trade shows tied to international nutrition and ingredient markets.
- Communicate clearly across internal teams to keep customers informed as products, priorities, or market conditions change.
- Support international travel to Japan and Korea to strengthen relationships and advance commercial discussions.
You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business, food science, dairy science, or a related discipline.
- Experience working directly with customers, distributors, or trading companies serving Japanese or Korean markets.
- Demonstrated exposure to East Asian business culture through professional responsibilities, on-site customer engagement, or extended business travel.
- Experience coordinating customer needs across functions such as R&D, quality, supply chain, or commercial teams.
- Ability to travel internationally 2–3 times per year and domestically approximately 6 times per year for scheduled trade shows and internal plant visits.
We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience selling or supporting nutrition or functional ingredient solutions within industrial or manufacturing channels.
- Ability to conduct customer discussions or presentations in Japanese or Korean, with proficiency in both languages most preferred.
- Background working with value-added dairy or protein ingredients, including WPI, WPC, micellar casein, or similar specialty proteins.
- Experience supporting export-oriented customers through trading companies or importers serving multiple end markets.
