Lab Technician II
Within our Quality Assurance team located in Denver – Leprino is seeking a Lab Technician II, Microbiology to move our organization to even larger levels of cheese and dairy ingredient growth! At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $25.21 and $28.33. This position has an annual target bonus of 3.5%.
What You’ll Do:
- Support microbiological testing by preparing milk, cheese, dry dairy, environmental, and related laboratory samples.
- Label, organize, dilute, pipette, and prepare samples for routine laboratory analysis.
- Clean laboratory equipment, glassware, and workspaces to maintain a safe and efficient testing environment.
- Dispose of test materials and laboratory waste according to established procedures.
- Fill distilled water containers and prepare materials needed for daily laboratory activities.
- Load, unload, and operate autoclaves to sterilize media, glassware, dilution water, and laboratory waste.
-Maintain accurate records of sample preparation and laboratory activities.
- Coordinate with Microbiology and Global Quality team members to support testing schedules and laboratory operations.
- Follow laboratory procedures and quality standards to help ensure accurate and consistent results.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that support laboratory organization and efficiency.
You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
- A High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Basic math skills used to perform measurements, calculations, and sample preparation activities.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions while completing laboratory tasks accurately.
We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
- An Associate degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field.
- Experience supporting microbiological testing, sample preparation, or laboratory housekeeping activities.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment, sterilization processes, or autoclave operation.
