Senior Credit Analyst
Within our Corporate Finance & Accounting team located in Denver, Leprino is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to help strengthen the credit decisions and customer relationships that support our global business. This role combines advanced financial and credit analysis with portfolio management, collections, deduction resolution, and cross-functional leadership to help protect cash flow, manage financial risk, and support profitable growth.
At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $85,000 and $95,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 10%.
What You’ll Do:
- Evaluate the financial strength and creditworthiness of customers, counterparties, suppliers, and strategic business partners through comprehensive financial and credit analysis.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flow forecasts, leverage, liquidity, covenant compliance, and other indicators to identify credit risk and emerging concerns.
- Develop risk ratings and recommend credit limits, payment terms, collateral, guarantees, and other risk-mitigation strategies to support sound business decisions.
- Prepare clear, well-supported credit memorandums and recommendations for review and approval by senior management.
- Monitor portfolio exposure and concentration risk across customers, industries, geographies, and other segments while completing periodic credit reviews and risk reassessments.
- Identify deteriorating or higher-risk accounts and recommend actions such as credit holds, payment plans, account restructuring, or other appropriate risk controls.
- Lead collection efforts on past-due accounts through customer engagement, dispute resolution, negotiation, and development of effective collection strategies.
- Investigate and resolve complex customer deductions, chargebacks, short payments, rebate claims, pricing discrepancies, and other payment disputes in partnership with Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Accounts Receivable.
- Analyze deduction and delinquency trends to identify root causes, improve cash flow, reduce bad-debt exposure, and prevent recurring issues.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex credit, collection, and deduction issues while providing guidance and technical support to other team members.
- Present credit risk assessments, portfolio trends, collection performance, and deduction analytics to management to support informed decision-making.
- Lead cross-functional process improvements and support reporting, system, and automation initiatives that strengthen credit controls and improve visibility across the business.
You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of progressive experience in credit analysis, commercial credit, corporate credit, commercial banking, corporate finance, or a closely related area.
- Strong experience analyzing financial statements, cash flow, liquidity, leverage, and overall creditworthiness of businesses.
- Experience evaluating the financial strength of private and/or publicly traded companies and making credit or risk recommendations.
- Experience preparing written credit analyses, credit memorandums, or recommendations for management review.
- Experience supporting collections, customer deductions, payment disputes, or other accounts receivable risk-management activities.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, including financial analysis and modeling.
- Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Experience supporting commercial or counterparty credit risk within a large corporate environment, commercial bank, or other complex organization.
- Experience working with SAP.
- Experience developing portfolio analytics, dashboards, risk reporting, stress testing, or scenario analysis.
- Experience with deduction management, chargebacks, trade promotion claims, pricing disputes, and cash application processes.
- Experience establishing or recommending credit limits, collateral requirements, guarantees, payment terms, or other risk-mitigation structures.
- Experience serving as a senior resource, subject matter expert, or mentor to other credit or collections professionals.
