The Fort Morgan Team is seeking a Power and Utilities Tech to help us achieve our goals.
We Ask of You To:
This position requires the trainee to become proficient at understanding the operations of ammonia refrigeration, boilers, HVAC systems, Fire Systems, Wastewater Operations and Air Compressors while performing general maintenance on the associated equipment. This includes mechanical, electrical, preventative and predictive maintenance on pumps, valves, seals, motors, hydraulics, compressors and steam/condensate systems while adhering to OSHA Safety Rules, Food Safety Policies and Company Regulations.
Maintain operations and maintenance of all Ammonia Refrigeration Equipment
Maintain operations and maintenance of boiler systems and condensate return.
Perform Chemistry tests on boilers and accurately document all necessary information
Train and adhere to SOPs, OSHA and Process Safety Management Regulations
Wastewater Systems and Rounds
Always perform work in a safe manner adhering to human and food safety guidelines.

You Must Have (Minimum Qualifications):

High School Diploma or Equivalent with strong Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude

Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools

Reliable with a strong desire to learn and expand skills

The ability to adapt and be open to new technologies and procedures.

Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures

Must be team orientated, self-motivated and communicate effectively, oral and written

Must be able to work all shifts, weekends and Holidays

Able to handle varying work conditions from extremely hot/humid to cold
We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

Operator I/II Technical Certificates and/or Two (2) or more years prior experience as a utility technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background including the principles of thermodynamics and physics. Exhibit troubleshooting techniques pertinent to pneumatics, hydraulic systems, electrical controls, refrigeration equipment and boiler systems.
