Job Title:                   QE Product Review Clerk IV

Wage Scale:              $22.94 - $25.80  (Break in rates and $0.75 cents differential pay from 6PM - 5:59AM applies).                                   

Hours/shift:              1st Shift

General Summary:

  • The Product Review Specialist IV is responsible for the all-QE shipping to corporate and sales, maintaining shipping inventory supplies, sample pulling (pull retest and perform ticket transactions), PQC non-batch manage material review, and QE inventory control, ordering, submit CAPAs, POs, and Maximo work orders.   This position is responsible for ensuring that incoming purchased materials intended for internal consumptions are reviewed and in compliance with company policy/process.

 

Job Description:

  • At all times, operate in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures.
  • Review Quality Inventory minimum once a week.
  • Understand the Quality inventory needs (min and max) for both cheese and nutrition.
  • Ability to generate and maintain Food safety and performance graphs.
  • Accountability for maintaining all Quality Inventory ordering.
  • Able to reconcile purchase card transactions monthly.
  • Maintain current and accurate record keeping for lab paperwork.
  • Able to reconcile items received against pending orders.
  • Able to sample and submit resamples accordingly to labs based on requested test and product type.
  • Direct interaction with Corporate, FedEx, and TWW representatives.
  • Ensure all cheese analytical, performance, micro samples are pulled aseptically.
  • Ability to maintain and track samples pulled and ensure detailed communication with production when reseal and replacard are required.
  • Able to work in a high stress environment.
  • Effective communication with the sales, corporate, and plant team.
  • Works Collaboratively with different departments to ensure that customer service goals are met.
  • Able to make calculated decisions.
  • Ability to track deliveries, if delayed communicate to both plant and corporate personnel.
  • Knowledge of lab sampling SOPs
  • Request product from warehouse pending needs for release accurate and timely manner in SAP.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory GMPs.
  • Comply with corporate rules and regulations.
  • Must be able to multi-task. 
  • Troubleshoots COCs and COAs, works with corporate and vendor to get updated/corrected COAs.

 

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • 1 to 3 years of equivalent work experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience in the Manufacturing, Quality in Food, of Quality in Dairy industries is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Competencies:

  • Computer literacy.  Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SAP, MS Word Applications, E-mail, and Typing Skills min. 40wpm.
  • Knowledgeable of food safety expectations, SOPs, Cyberdocs, and MFG specifications
  • Knowledge of sanitary GMPs.
  • Proficient in math, analytical reasoning skills, and delegation
  • Ability to carry out Risk Assessments, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control Principles
  • Ability to make decisions independently in a stressful environment.
  • Has excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver on deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple functions and tasks within the scope of accounting.
  • Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
  • Physical requirements to perform job as defined in the essential job function.

 

Working Relationships:

  • This position reports to the QE Hold & Release Supervisor.
  • This position will have no direct reports.

 

Physical/Mental Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders/stairs.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices.
  • Ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays and possible overtime.
