Leprino Lubbock is seeking a L2 Cheese Line Attendant

The L2 Cheese Line Attendant is responsible for monitoring block product lines, support product inspection, addback, efficient block production operations, and continuous up time. 

 

All other duties as assigned. 

 

This position pays $21. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.

 

Job Duties:

  • Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations, and work in a manner consistent with safe operating procedures according to applicable company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
  • Properly clean and sanitize all equipment following good manufacturing practices (GMP’s). 
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision. 
  • MES navigation and computer data entry (cheese sample results, cage load & unload tracking). 
  • Navigate and operate conveyor controls through wonderware HMI. 
  • Operate manual and electric pallet jacks safely and proficiently. 
  • Proficiently Load & unload blocks from brine cages, and on to block conveyors. 
  • Retain cheese samples for testing to identify change overs and chemistry. 
  • Monitor and clean brine filter banks. 
  • Stage and return packaging materials in production area and warehouse storage. 
  • Inspect product and product packaging to ensure quality standards are met. 
  • Prepare label machines for labeling products as needed. 
  • Assist RapidPak operator with product loading and handling. 
  • Maintain Cleanliness of area, good housekeeping.  
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision. 
  • Follow sanitation procedures of all equipment at shutdown 
  • Complete assigned GMP and housekeeping duties and maintain 5S standards as required 

Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct 

Ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies such as, inspecting product to meet customer specifications, notifying the

  • supervisor/team lead in the event of clumps, extraneous, etc. and ensuring correct bag codes for each product run 
  • Complete paperwork accurately.  Know and understand the normal operational readings for all data recorded and action to be taken if outside normal operations

 

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • Must be 18 years of age 
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English language 
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously 
  • Ability to perform mathematical functions 
  • Ability to understand and apply standard operating procedures 
  • Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing processes 
  • Ability to complete written reports, and enter data into and pull data from computer systems 
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment and comply with all applicable safety practices 
  • Good communication skills to communicate with co-workers and oncoming/outgoing shifts 
  • Ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays and possible overtime. 

 

Preferred Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Six months of work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred 
  • Experience in machine operation and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment is preferred 

 

 

 

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift moderate weights repeatedly throughout the shift weighing up to 50lbs 
  • Required to stand/walk, climb steps or ladders, bend at the knees, make pipe connections, lift equipment parts throughout the shift and must have the ability to work in hot, humid, and cold areas
