For our state-of-the art 600+ person Lubbock, TX cheese and whey manufacturing facility, Leprino is seeking a L2 Production Clerk.
This position pays $23.70 per hour. There is an additional $1 differential for hours worked between 6pm and 6am. Weekly pay.
Summary Description:
The Production Clerk for Cheese/Block Packaging supports daily manufacturing and packaging operations by maintaining accurate production records, reviewing and validating paperwork for gas flush, QLC, bulk/base, ingredient usage, and end-of-run documentation. This role helps ensure production orders, consumptions, pallet information, lot control, and inventory transactions are complete and accurate. The clerk works closely with supervisors, operators, warehouse, administration, and support departments to support product tracking, departmental reporting, audit readiness, food safety, quality, efficiency, and overall, Cheese/Block Packaging performance.
All other duties as assigned.
Job Duties (Accountability Categories and Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities):
NOTE: The job may include other “non-essential” responsibilities and duties that are not listed on this form.
- Reviews (and completes if needed) daily production records, paperwork for Cheese and Block Packaging. May include pallet research reviews for Supervisors.
- Review daily PO’s to ensure all required consumptions are complete and accurate
- Checks / Verifies Daily and End of Run paperwork (Ingredients, packaging materials, Box Maker information, etc.)
- Completes ingredient tracking forms, reports, graphs
- Complete/Print/Post Dept graphs (NFFHC, Problem Cheese, PPLH, Customer complaints, OT, Down time, Usage, First Pass Good, etc.)
- Supervisor Support: Usage Plans, Break Schedules, and Tracking Weekly Labor for Accounting Adjustment.
- Monitor stranded inventory, research batch history, works closely with operators, warehouse, and admin to ensure proper product tracking.
- Manage a department spending card, ordering supplies and tools as needed for the office and department. Monthly reconciliation of spending.
- Support as the Maximo CAPA Lead for the department when assigned.
- Any and all audit requirements [MSS Tracking, Audits, and communication for gaps in procedures Safety Tracking, and Lot Control Tracking as needed.
- Provide clerical support to supervisors/managers (mail, typing, scribe, filing, answering phones, etc.)
- Track and issue general approvals for employees’ vacations, including the use of the UKG system.
- Pre-shift postings and communication boards, employee newsletter, etc.
- Other duties as assigned, supporting Line #2 Cheese/Packaging.
- Monitor the percentage of addition of all products and notify the department management of any out of compliance situations.
- Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.
- Set up and maintain accuracy of all input usage records and maintain paperwork in an orderly manner.
- Monitor ingredient usage and ensure proper rotation of inventories.
- Validate the reconciliation of inventory daily.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to support 24-7/365 business.
- Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience in food manufacturing.
- SAP knowledge preferred.

Work Environment Description:
- This position will be exposed to a production operations environment. Industrial setting includes both wet and dry production areas, loud noises, and varying degrees of temperature The Production Clerk must be able to work overtime and holidays when required. The operator must be able to read/write and perform basic arithmetic in order to understand the S.O.P.’s, Good Manufacturing Practices, and safe work practices.

This position requires the incumbent to work on site at the facility to be able to perform the associated job responsibilities.
